Join us for the 8th Annual ocean plunge on Super Bowl Sunday!

Are you part Polar Bear? Do you have what it takes to brave the icy cold Atlantic Ocean in February? Save the date and meet us on the 48th Street beach (in Brant Beach), and be home in plenty of time for the big game!

Pre-Registration is required. $30/person before Jan. 31; $35/person on Jan. 31. Students: only $15 before Feb. 5, and $20 on Feb. 5.

Prizes awarded for most funds raised, oldest and youngest plunger, best costume, and more.

Sponsored by St. Francis Community Center. All proceeds to benefit St. Francis Community Center & Southern Regional HS Swim Teams.

Each guest will take home a commemorative Lighthouse International Film Festival wine glass.   • Basic Boating Safety Course St. Francis Community Center, 4700 Long Beach Blvd. Brant Beach, is now accepting registration. The course will take place on Tuesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 7 in the Center and will prepare and certify individuals to operate a motor boat or personal water craft in NJ. The NJ State Police Certification Course for Basic Boating Safety will consist of 8 hours of lecture and video with homework and test. Ages 13 and up. The cost of this course is $85. Christmas Parade & Treasure Hunt in Ship Bottom

Don’t miss the fun in Ship Bottom on the weekend of December 3rd. There are lots of things to do to ring in the Holiday season. The Ship Bottom Merchants are once again inviting you to join in their holiday treasure hunt for fun and prizes. Starting on Friday, December 2nd at 12 noon, stop in at the following merchants and collect a coin. There is no purchase necessary. Several secret coins are marked as winners. Collect a coin from each of the participating merchants for a chance to win big. Coins will be available from 12 noon on Friday till 5:00pm Saturday. After the tree lighting on the lawn at Borough Hall, 5:00 pm, join us at Joe Pops for the awarding of prizes for the secret coins, the ornament contest, and the homemade floats from the Parade.

December 3: Fantasy Island Christmas Parade Events & After Party: Look for characters of “Our Fantasy Island” in the parade, as well as Mayor Gator who will be handing out special gifts! Fantasy Island will be hosting the after party event for the parade from 3-6pm, where kids can get free goodie bags, free pictures with Santa, and they can redee, their special gift! Santa will have “Our Fantasy Island” storybooks while supplies last.
